Microchip Technology Buys Roving Networks
Chandler, Arizona-based Microchip Technology, the microcontroller and analog components manufacturer, said this morning that it has acquired Roving Networks, a developer of low power embedded Wi-Fi and Bluetooth products. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Roving Networks was based in Los Gatos, California. Microchip said the buy will broaden the range of wireless connectivity options it offers to customers.
