IHS Buys IMS Research For $46M
Englewood, Colorado-based IHS is buying another, market research firm this morning, saying that it has acquired IMS Research, a provider of market research and consulting for the global electronics industry. IHS said it will pay approximately $46M for IMS Research. IMS provides syndicated market studies, custom research, consultancy services and events to the industry, and is based in Wellingborough, UK, employing more than 140 people. IHS has been in an acquisitive mood lately, buying three companies in March, and at least five companies last year.
