Schedulicity Gets Big New Competitor: Groupon
Bozeman, Montana-based appointment scheduling software developer Schedulicity has some big, new competition today: Groupon. Daily deals site Groupon said Monday that it is launching a new appointment scheduling tool aimed at small businesses, such as hair stylists, massage therapists, and others. The new service will be free for merchants. Schedulicity had already been taking on Groupon indirectly, allowing its users to manage daily deals through the company's software. Schedulicity had begun attacking the daily deal market in July of last year, in response to customers finding that daily deals were cannibalizing their business.
