Orbotix Fills Pre-Orders, Heads to Canada
Boulder-based Orbotix, the developer of the Sphero robotic ball, said today that it has finally fulfilled all of its pre-orders for the device. Orbotix also said it is now shipping to users in Canada, via Amazon's Canadian website. Orbotix said the Sphero is now in stock, which should be good news to fans, many of whom had been impacted by delays by the company in December in manufacturing enough of the smartphone-controlled robotic ball to meet demand. Orbotix said it will also be finalizing international certifications on the device, for shipment to other, international locations. The Sphero allows users to control, program, and interact with it via iPhone and Android.
