StormWind Lands $4M
Phoenix-based StormWind, a provider of online IT and custom training, said today that it has raised $4M in a round of funding. The round was led by GSV Capital. According to StormWind, it will use the new funds to expand its offerings, plus to hire approximately 150 new team members over the next 18 months. StormWind provides live, HD video training to companies. The firm was founded by Tom Graunke and Corey Frank. Graunke was founder of KnowledgeNet, which was acquired by Thomson Reuters. As part of the funding, the company said that Tim Crown of Insight.com has invested in the company, and joins its board.
