Rivertop Renewables Lands Contract
Missoula, Montana-based Rivertop Renewables, the developer of renewable chemicals technology based in the Montana Technology Enterprise Center (MonTEC), reported Monday that it has been awarded a contract from the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT). Rivertop said it will supply 110,000 gallons of a bio-based, corrosion inhibitor for use with Montana's liquid deicers for its snowy and icy roads. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Rivertop's inhibitor is derived from renewable corn sugar. Rivertop just received a bridge funding of $1.5M in November for its technology and processes.
