Rivet Taps XBRL Expert As Advisor
Denver-based Rivet Software said this morning that it has tapped an XBRL expert to join its advisory board. Rivet said that John Turner, who was the chairman of the technical standards board which defined XBRL (the XBRL International Standards Board), has joined its advisory board. Turner was also CEO and co-founder of competing XBRL vendor CoreFiling. Turner also served at KPMG specializing in XBRL. XBRL is a standard being mandated for financial filings by publicly held companies.
