iGo Rolls Rechargeable Alkalines
Scottsdale, Arizona-based iGo, the developer of mobile accessories and power management products for the consumer electronics market, said this week that it has launched its own line of rechargeable alkaline batteries. The firm said its new iGo Green Rechargeable Alkaline Batteries is equivalent to more than 25 single-use, disposable batteries. The new batteries require a special charger from the firm. iGo said the rechargeables are better than NiCad and NiMH batteries, in terms of the time they hold charge--up to seven years, versus less than 90 days--and are also non-toxic.
