Thought Equity Motion Raises $25M
Denver-based Thought Equity Motion, a provider of video footage licensing services, has raised $25M in an investment from a private equity firm. Thought Equity said the funding came from Shamrock Capital, a private equity firm focused on the media, entertainment, and communication industries. The firm allows users to search for and license footage from such firms as the BBC Motion Gallery, Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, National Geographic, The New York Times, and the NCAA. The firm said it will invest the new capital in technology, cloud storage, and ability to service its global customers.
