MediConnect Eyes Former Google Health Customers
Salt Lake City-based MediConnect Global, the provider of electronic health records software, is eyeing customers of Google Health, after the search engine giant said it will be shutting down Google Health last week. MediConnect said it will offer up free accounts to former users of Google Health on its personal health record portal. Google said last week that, due to lack of interest it was closing down both Google Health and an unrelated project, Google PowerMeter. MediCOnnect Global offers up a similar, electronic medical health records service, MyMediConnect, which allows consumers to manage and import their medical records into a single place.
