Mozy Adds Apps For iPhone, Android
Mozy, the online backup service now owned by EMC, said Thursday that it has launched new apps for the Apple iPhone and Google Android phones. The firm--which has major operations in Pleasant Grove, Utah--said the new apps allow MozyHome customers to have remote access to files they have backed up using Mozy. The new apps include ability to preview files they have backed up, thumbnail access to photos and ability to download those full photos, and connections to post photos to Facebook. Both of the apps will be free to MozyHome users. The new iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app is available now in Apple's iTunes App Store; the firm said it will soon be releasing the Android application.
