Wilson Electronics Wins Arizona Sheriff's Office
St. George, Utah-based Wilson Electronics said Tuesday that the firm's products have been selected by the Yavapai County (Arizona) Sheriff's Office. The firm said the office has installed systems in more than 120 rural patrol vehicles. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Wilson's products are used to boost the power of cell phone signals, which enables the Sheriff's department to better connect from remote areas of the county. Wilson Electronics said the department had a particular challenge in getting cell phone access in the county, because the county covers 8,100 square miles, and includes difficult topography.
