Three Named Finalists In Rocky Mountain Region Clean Technology Competition
The Cleantech Open, a group which operates a major clean technology business competition, announced its three Rocky Mountain region finalists for its business plan competition Thursday evening. According to the Cleantech Open, the regional competition--focused on companies from Arizona, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming--awarded a combination of $30,000 in cash and in-kind services to the winners. The winners were Infinirel Early Warning Systems, based in Frisco, Texas, a provider of early warning systems for detecting inverter failure at solar energy and wind farms; INOTEC, a Salt Lake City-based developer of technology to remove metal and inorganic waste from wastewater; and pureSilicon, a New Jersey firm looking to move to Colorado, which develops solid state disk drives (SSDs). The group also awarded a "Sustainability Award" to BioVantage Resources of Golden, Colorado, a developer of algae production products for bioremediation of municipal, industrial and agricultural wastewater.
