DISH Network Gets Behind Google TV
Englewood-based satellite television operator DISH Network is teaming up with Logitech to distribute Google TV, Google's Internet-based television and online media guide. According to DISH and partner Logitech International, they will market and sell Logitech's Revue with Google TV product to existing and prospective subscribers to DISH's service in the United States. Financial details of the link were not disclosed. Logitech's Revue is a device which provides Google TV on HDMI-ready televisions and set-top box, and allows users to access YouTube videos and other online content, browse web sites, pull information like sports stats, and other data from the Internet. Logitech and DISH did not say how much they would sell the new device to DISH Networks customers, but Logitech is offering the device independently for $299.
