Aide Solar Opens Chinese Plant, Targets U.S. Market
Aide Solar, a producer of solar modules for the residential, commercial, and utility market, said today that it has opened up a new, 1 million square foot solar cell and module production facility in China. The firm, which has its North American headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, said that the facility grows its mono-crystalline silicon PV module capacity to 350MW annually, as it looks to increase its penetration in the United States. The firm said the new capacity goes specifically to respond to "high volume, rapid growth requirements" its is seeing in the U.S. and elsewhere. Aide Solar has its global headquarters in China, and is a subsidiary of Taiwan's Panjit Group.
