Opengear Extends Console Servers Into Cell Networks
Sandy, Utah-based OpenGear, a developer of console servers, power management, and KVM devices, announced Monday that the firm has rolled out a device server which ties into EDGE, GPRS, GSM, HSDA and HSUPA cell networks. OpenGear said its new ACM5004-G product connects directly into cell network--including AT&T and T-Mobile in North America. OpenGear's products are used to remotely monitor and control data center and telecom equipment.
