Aircell Wins Alaska Airlines
In-flight wireless equipment provider Aircell, which has operations in Broomfield, Colorado as well as Illinois, scored a major win today with Alaska Airlines. Alaska Airlines said it will offer Aircell's Gogo Inflight Internet service on all of its aircraft, and is currently looking to install the service on a Boeing 737-800 for testing and certification by the FAA. Alaska said that once it has been certified, it will start outfitting its entire fleet with the service. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
