Ancestry.com Digs Into Obama's German Roots
Provo, Utah-based Ancestry.com, an online site for researching family history, has released more of its research into President Obama's German roots. The site said it has connected Obama to a maternal great-grandfather, born in Besingheim, Wuerttemberg, Germany in 1729. According to the site, his German ancestor immigrated to the U.S. in 1750; the firm confirmed the links through a number of historical docuuments. Ancestry.com's earlier confirmation of Obama's Irish roots spawned a popular YouTube video and song, "There's No One As Irish as Barack O'Bama."
