EMC Buys Configuresoft
Colorado Springs-based Configuresoft, a developer of server management and configuration tools, has been acquired by data storage giant EMC, EMC said Wednesday. According to EMC, it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ConfigureSoft, in a deal that is expected to close in June. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Configuresoft will become part of EMC's Resource Management Software Group. EMC was a customer of the firm, and offered an OEM version of Configuresoft's product called EMC Server Configuration Manager and EMC Configuration Analytics Manager.
