Clovis Oncology Raises $145M
Boulder, Colorado-based Clovis Oncology reports today that it has raised a huge, $145M funding round, for the firm's efforts to acquire, develop, and commercialize anti-cancer agents. The funding came from Domain Associates, New Enterprise Associates, Versant Ventures, Aberdare Ventures, Abingworth, Frazier Healthcare Ventures, and ProQuest Investments. Clovis was founded by former executives from Pharmion Corporation, including Patrick Mahaffy, Andrew Allen, Gillian Ivers-Read, and Erle Mast. Mahaffy was founder of Pharmion, which was acquired last year for $2.9B by Celgene.
