ASU Advances Flexible Chips
Arizona State University researchers announced today that the school, in conjunction with the University of Texas at Dallas, has demonstrated CMOS circuits on a flexible, plastic substrate. According to the researchers, the advances promised to help advance such applications as smart medical bandages or triage patches. The announcement came from ASU's Flexible Display Center, which is focused on developing a manufacturing ecosystem for flexible electronic displays.
