IHS Sees Strong Results
Bad economy? Apparently it wasn't a problem last quarter for Englewood, Colorado-based IHS, a provider of information products such as databases, online standards and regulations, and technical information. The publicly held firm announced its results Wednesday, saying that it had an 18 percent increase in its first quarter revenues, which totaled $235M versus results a year ago of $199M. The firm said that it continued to grow its revenue and expand its margins, despite the economy, attributing the growth to having the "right strategies, business model and management team."
