Webroot Debuts New Security Suite for Consumers
Boulder, Colo.-based security software publisher Webroot revealed Tuesday that it has launched a new security suite for consumers that aims to protect them from malicious programs, hackers and data loss without hindering their computers' performance. Webroot also announced that the latest versions of its Spy Sweeper and AntiVirus with AntiSpyware products will support online file backup so customers can protect their digital photos and other valuable files. Webroot said the new suite, called Internet Security Essentials, provides antivirus, antispyware, two-way firewall, disk cleanup and local and online file backup functions. Each copy, Webroot noted, can be installed on up to three personal computers.
