Sundrop Fuels Taps eSolar For Technology
Sundrop Fuels, a stealthy Colorado-based solar energy firm funded by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Oak Investment Partners, has inked a licensing deal with California-based eSolar, a solar thermal energy firm backed by Google. According to eSolar, Sundrop will license its heliostat and sun tracking technology solutions to Sundrop Fuels, in a multi-million dollar deal. Other details of the licensing were not disclosed. Sundrop Fuels has operations in Louisville in the Colorado Technology Center business park, as well as operations in New Mexico from its acquisition of Los Alamos Renewable Energy.
