Webroot Enhances Email Security
Boulder-based Webroot said today that the firm has upgraded the firm's email security software. According to Webroot, its Webroot E-mail Security SaaS now handles more advanced protection from e-mail "backscatter." Spam, virus, and email worms use "backscatter" to send unsolicited messages to large distribution lists, and is a major problem for ISPs and companies. The firm said the upgraded software can now detect and block those messages. Webroot's software-as-a-service products are used to provide email security and filtering.
