Tendril Gets ZigBee Certification
Boulder, Colorado-based Tendril, a provider of systems for the energy and utility management market, said today that its Tendril Electrical Outlet product has been certified by the ZigBee standards group. According to Tendril, its "smart energy" outlet can be used to monitor the energy efficiency of any electrical appliance or device over the Internet. Zigbee is a low-power wireless standard used for collecting data. Tendril develops ZigBee-based, hardware and software for monitoring energy efficiency.
