Realtime Worlds Raises $50M
Boulder, Colorado and Dundee, Scotland-based Realtime Worlds, which develops video games, said this morning that it has raised $50M for the company in a second round of funding. The firm said the round was led by Mavrick Capital, and included existing investor New Enterprise Associates along with marketing firm WPP. According to the company, the new investment will go towards growth and expansion of the firm. Realtime Worlds is currently developing a massively multiplayer, online game called All Points Bulletin. The firm said it now has more than 200 people on its staff. The funding brings the company's total raised to $81M.
