American Academy Gets Funding
Salt Lake City, Utah-based American Academy said today that the school has raised funding from vSpring Capital. Amount of the investment was not disclosed. American Academy operates an online platform for earning a high school diploma. The disclosure came in conjunction with an announcement that the online high school has received accreditation from the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools (NAAS). American Academy said it offers students the ability to supplement their education or earn a high school diploma. According to the school, the firm was founded by Anthony E. Meyer of merchant banking firm Meyer & Co., and author Paul Zane Pilzer.
