Control4 Links With RealNetworks
Salt Lake City-based Control4, which develops home automation and networking systems for connecting entertainment and other systems, has inked a deal with RealNetworks to include access to RealNetworks via its touch screens and other products. According to RealNetworks and Control4, they will integrate RealNetworks' Rhapsody product into its line of Control4 Smart Home Automation Systems. The deal allows consumers to play back music from Rhapsody through their home entertainment systems; consumers will be required to have a subscription to Rhapsody, which is $12.99 per month. Control4 is venture backed by vSpring Capital and others.
