InPlay Technologies reported Monday that it has appointed Steven Hanson to the position of chief executive officer. InPlay said Hanson, who has served on InPlay's board since 2004 and has chaired the board since 2005, takes over for Bob Brilon, who has resigned his duties as CEO, chief financial officer and director. InPlay said William Rodes, currently the company's vice president of finance and administration, has been named acting CFO. InPlay said Hanson is a partner at consulting firm Knowledge Capital Alliance and at private equity firm Southwest Value Acquisitions. InPlay Technologies is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
