Quark Names Sampias CFO
Denver, Colorado-based Quark announced today that it has named Ernest J. Sampias as Chief Financial Officer for the firm. Quark develops desktop publishing and layout software. Sampias joins the company from SpectraLink, where he was EVP Finance. He was also at McData, where he was Senior Vice President and CFO before its acquisition by Brocade. Sampias has also served at US West, and is also a board member at Xyratex, a data storage manufacturer. Quark said that Sampias will oversee the firm's financial operations and help to drive strategic growth initiatives.
