LignUp Gets $9.8M
Mountain View, California-based LignUp, a company that provides a next generation communications platform for converged IP networks, has raised $9.8M in a Series B funding, the company said today. The company maintains significant operations in Salt Lake City. The funding came from Intel Capital, The Enterpreneur's Funds, Weber Capital Management, Draper Associates, and Regis McKenna. Existing investors Wasatch Venture Fund, University Venture Fund, and vSpring also participated. LignUp is developing an application server for telephony providers, which supports voice, data, and video delivery over IP networks. The company said it will use the funding to enhance its platform and extend global operations in North America, Europe, and Asia.
