Ping Identity Adds Single Sign On For Consumer Services
Denver, Colorado-based Ping Identity has introduced a new, authentication and single-sign on software that the company said is targeted at consumer-facing online services and web applications. The new software provides single-sign on tools that allow web sites to develop authentication and identity verification systems. Ping said that its tools support Web browsers, PDAs, smart phones, AJAX and Microsoft .NET applications, and will be available for six months or 100,000 transactions for free, with subscriptions and other licenses available. The release comes in conjunction with an upgraded version of its identity server, PingFederate 4. The firm is backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Fidelity Ventures, and General Catalyst Partners.
