Montana Gets Angel Fund
A group of angel investors in Montana have formed a new, angel investment fund to invest in local companies, according to Montana West Economic Development. The fund, which currently has $800,000 in committments with plans to expand up to $1.5M, said that it will invest primarily in early- to mid-stage private companies in northwestern Montana. The new fund is being funded by RAIN Source Capital, a Minnesota-based group that is organizing a network of angel investment funds. According to Montana West, the fund also includes 15 members, including local angel investors and institutions. The Frontier Angel Fund will select and screen companies for potential investment.
