Broomfield, Colorado-based eSoft, a provider of Internet security and content management software, said today that it has filed patent infringement suits against Astaro, Barracuda Networks, Blue Coat, Fortinet, and Sonicwall. The firm is claiming that the vendors have infringed upon a patent that it was awarded in November on a "System and Method for Managing Applicatoin Service Providers", number 6,961,773. eSoft said that it is seeking to stop the companies from marketing, selling, using or otherwise infringing on its patent.
