Tendril Expands Board of Directors
Denver, Colorado-based Tendril has appointed a co-founder of Ember to the company's board of directors. Tendril said today that Dr. Robert D. Poor, who co-founded Ember Corporation, a wireless sensor network firm, has joined its board. Tendril is developing system software for the deployment of wireless sensor and control networks. Dr. Poor has served at MIT's Media Lab, where he developed radio frequency mesh technology that became Ember. Tendril is developing software for managing wireless sensor networks, and is backed by Access Ventures and Appian Ventures.
