Solera Announces Network Capture Appliance
Salt Lake City, Utah-based Solera Networks announced a Linux-based network packet capture appliance this morning, supporting up to 128Tbytes of disk storage for network traffic analysis. The company said that its Solera DS series can capture network traffic to disk, allowing for weeks or months of network packet capture. The appliance is based on Linux 2.6, and fits into a 3U chassis with 6.4TB of included storage. The company said that it also has Fibre Channel support for external storage, and that the appliance can be connected into a storage network for more storage support. Solera develops network monitoring solutions.
