Micron Gives Grant for Science and Technology Education
Idaho-based Micron Technology has given an $800,000 grant to Salt Lake City, Utah-based The Leonardo to support its science and technology education. Micron Technology gave the grant through its Micron Technology Foundation, as part of a capital campaign for The Leonardo, which is developing a state/regional science, art, and culture center in Salt Lake in 2008. The center is also supported by public funding, including a $10M bond issued by Salt Lake City in 2003. The Leonardo said that it will provide educational programming, hands-on-exhibits, programs, and events targeted at school through Utah. Micron will also integrate technology into exhibits, programs, and events at The Leonardo.
