Micron: 10th Year Of Teaching Jr. High Schoolers About Chips
Boise, Idaho-based Micro Technology said it is the tenth anniversary of the firm's Boise area "Chip Camp", a summer camp which teaches seventh and eighth graders about the business of designing and manufacturing semiconductors and integrated circuits. The memory maker said this year, it will serve 120 students from 40 different schools at two, three day camps in Boise during June. Micron said students get a chance to work on DRAM array simulation, building their own circuit, programming robotics, and working with diodes and transistors, plus meet with teacher and astronaut Barbara Morgan.
