Market Force Nabs Certified Marketing Services
Consumer research firm Market Force Information Inc. announced Wednesday that it has acquired Certified Marketing Services Inc., a national provider of merchandising and on-site research services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Market Force said CMS was founded in 1956 and comprises 27,000 in-field representatives and three distinct business units. Its Certified Merchandising Services division provides product resets, category resets, point-of-sale placements, signage conversion and other services across the United States and Canada. The Certified Reports division offers theater-level intelligence for motion picture distributors and trade associations. Lastly, the Certified Marketing Research Services unit boasts a full line of consumer research services, including mystery shopping, store profiling and ad compliance evaluations. Market Force Information is headquartered in Boulder, Colo.
