MapQuest Launches New Open Mapping Sites

Denver-based MapQuest said this morning that it has launched eight, new OpenStreetMap sites, covering South America, Canada, and Finland. According to MapQuest, the new sites are all built on data from the OpenStreetMap project, the project which uses crowdsourcing and user inputs to shape and modify local maps. The new countries include Portugal, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Chile, Haiti, Finland, and Canada.
