Lumension, FrontRange Merge To Become HEAT Software

Scottsdale, Arizona-based security software developer Lumension, and California-based FrontRange--which long ago was actually headquarter on the Front Range, in Colorado Springs--said today that the two have merged, and will become HEAT Software. The companies said the merger comes as a result of he acquisition of FrontRange by private equity investor Clearlake Capital Group. The new company will be headquartered in Milpitas, California with operations in Scottsdale. Financial details of the deal were not announced. FrontRange Solutions was located in Colorado Springs back when it was founded in 1994, but eventually went through a number of owners and moved to Silicon Valley.
