Denver, Colorado-based Local Matters has filed for an IPO, filing an S-1 with the SEC on Wednesday to raise up to $57.5M in a public stock offering. Local Matters is a provider of software and media services for Yellow Pages publishers. The firm reported a loss of $18.6M on revenues of $8.5M in 2005. The firm is looking to trade on the NASDAQ under the symbol LOCL. The firm reported raising $46.3M in several rounds of venture funding, and is backed by Sandler Capital Management, Software Seed Partners, and Spencer Trask Ventures. The offering is being offered by underwritten by Cowen & Co., CIBC World Markets, Needham & Company, LLC and JMP Securities LLC.
