Salt Lake City, Utah-based Linux high performance computing maker LNXI announced a new product Monday. The firm said it has released a new, diskless clustered HPC system called LS-1 for Secure Environments. The new product is targeted at high performance computing (HPC) environments which run secure and classified data. According to LNXI, because the systems are diskless, the products can be more easily repurposed after a secure project, instead of requiring destruction of those systems. LNXI was formerly known as Linux Networx.
