Denver-based Jabber, Inc., which develops instant messaging software, and Louisville, Colorado-based Privacy Networks, a provider of archiving appliances, said this morning that the two have teamed up to deliver an archiving appliance for Jabber's enterprise instant messaging product, Jabber XCP. The firms said the solution allows their customers to archive, search, and retrieve instant messages from Jabber XCP, alongside email and other content. Jabber's instant messaging products are targeted at the enterprise market, and are used by financial, defense, and other firms. Privacy Networks develops message archiving products, including appliances, hosted services, and software.
