Denver-based Intermap Technologies, a provider of digital mapping data, said yesterday that it has linked with a firm to tune into user-generated content. The firm said the link, with European firm Waze, will added live, anonymous GPS information -- latitude, longitude, and height measurements -- to help Intermap detect new roads, such as when new roads are added or existing roads change. Waze operates a community-generated mapping and traffic information service. According to the firms, Waze will get access to Intermap's road data for base maps and overlays on the service. Financial details of the collaboration deal were not disclosed.
