Denver-based GIS data provider Intermap is in a deal to provide GPS device firm Lowrance with its mapping data, the firm disclosed this morning. According to Intermap, Lowrance, which is owned by Navico Holdings AS, will offer its AccuTerra maps as part of its outdoor GPS devices. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. The rollout of Intermap's AccuTerra GPS maps will be available sometime in 2009. The data set includes roads, trails, terrain, topographic contours, points of interest, and land management maps.
