Denver-based Intermap, a provider of 3D mapping data for the GIS industry, said today that the firm is in an agreement with F5 Dreamscapes to use the firm's terrain data for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. F5 Dreamscapes will create highly detailed terrain modules for the popular flight simulator product based on Intermap's NEXTMap digital mapping program, for use in the flight simulator. Financial terms of the win were not disclosed. According to Intermap, F5 Dreamscapes will initially provide a product for Hawaii, followed by California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
