Recursion Pharmaceuticals Names COO

Salt Lake City-based biotech startup Recursion Pharmaceuticals announced Tuesday morning that it has named John Pereira as its new Chief Operating Officer. Pereira was previously the COO of Expertcity and a VP at AncestryDNA, and also has served at Amazon, and had been an officer in the US Navy. Pereira also sits on the boards of Athletigen and Channel Signal. Uber's Otto Makes First Self Driving Truck Delivery In Colorado

Colorado is the first state in the nation where a truck has autonomously delivered a load of cargo, according to Uber. Uber said that its Otto autonomous truck navigation technology delivered 45,000 cans of Budweiser beer last week from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. Centennial, Colorado-based electronics distributor Arrow Electronics has joined a group backing the ARM architecture, the company said on Monday. Arrow said it has become part of the ARM mbed partner ecosystem, a group made up of embedded and cloud technology companies, component manufacturers, system integrators and original equipment manufacturers focused on the Internet-of-Things area. DISH Connects DVR To YouTube

Englewood, Colorado-based DISH said it has added a new app on its Hopper 3 DVR, which lets users gain access to YouTube. The company's DVR already has apps for such streaming services as Netflix, Pandora, and Vevo. Zayo Wins UK Bank

Boulder-based Zayo has won a new bandwidth deal in the United Kingdom, saying this morning that it has won a deal with a "multinational bank" to connect its key locations in the UK. The financial impact of the win was not announced. Zayo said the deal leverages the network assets it acquired from Geo Networks in 2014. Zayo's network will provide the core backbone and dedicated, secure links between the bank's data center and headquarters.Continue →

Opendoor Targets Phoenix With New Mobile Apps

Opendoor, which operates an online home sales site and app, says it is offering up "hundreds" of homes for sale in Phoenix through its iPhone and Android apps. Sling TV Adds NHL Games

Englewood, Colorado-based Sling TV said today that it has inked a deal with the NHL Network, the TV network of the National Hockey League. According to Sling, the NHL's games will be available through its "Sports Extra" packages. Sling said the deal is the first time that the NHL Network will be available via an "over-the-top" provider.
