In good news for Colorado's computer storage industry, Salt Lake City-based Fusion-io, the developer of flash-based storage, said today that it is opening up a new office in the state. The firm said it is opening up an office just west of Interlocken Business Park, between Denver and Boulder. The firm said it plans to hire a "few dozen employees" in the area. The firm said the new office comes because of the area's reputation as a technology hotbed. Fusion-io said its new Colorado Tech Office has 10,000 square feet of space. The firm is venture backed by ccel Partners, Andreessen Horowitz Fund, Dell Ventures, Lightspeed Ventures, Meritech Capital, New Enterprise Associates, Samsung, Sumitomo, and Triangle Peak Partners, and recently filed for an IPO in March.
